Shellfish Landings Chapter 11, Article III, Sec. 11-133(b)

Reporting
Commercial harvesters, student, provisional and apprentices must report monthly landings to the Town Clerk by the 7th of each month to remain eligible for the following year’s license.
- Harvest reports must be submitted on a paper form or electronic application provided by the Town Clerk and filled out in their entirety.
- Reports must indicate:
- Species harvested: softshell clams and razor clams must be reported in pounds; Quahogs and Oysters must be reported in pieces.
- The locations of harvest (based upon the listing below), must be as area-specific as possible, i.e. Maquoit Bay, Middle Bay, Harpswell Cove, Long Reach, New Meadows River.
False or Delinquent Landing Reports
- If the licensee fails to report within 28 days after the previous month’s deadline the Town Clerk shall send a notice to the licensee address on file. If the licensee fails to contact the clerk’s office and report the previous month within 14 days, the license shall be administratively suspended until compliant reporting is received. This suspension will carry over to a new licensing year until compliance has occurred.
- A licensee who files a false landing report will be subject to suspension under section 11-141 and subject to fines as listed in the Appendix A Master Fees Schedule of Revenues, Charges, Fees and Fines.
