The Engineering Department provides a number of service for the Town of Brunswick including:
Planning, design, and construction of infrastructure projects;
Provide technical support to the Public Works Department;
Administers the street opening, occupancy, entrance, and stormdrain permits for the Public Works Department;
Maintain the Towns computerized database system known as the Geographic Information System (GIS);
Maintain the Town’s records of city-owned facilities and assists the public and professional community with inquiries regarding publicly owned properties and infrastructure;
Provides technical review of site plans and subdivisions for the Planning & Development Department and the Planning Board; and
Provides technical support for the Town Council, Planning Board, Town Manager, and other city departments.
