Information for those who need help with food.
If your SNAP benefits have been paused or you or someone you know needs food, we want to help. Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program is a great resource, and you can go to https://www.mchpp.org/find-food for lists of groceries and prepared meals with their locations and open hours. MCHPP is located at 12 Tenney Way in Brunswick, but some of the options are through other organizations.
📌The Gathering Place will provide breakfast and a light lunch.
📌Local churches are contributing donations and hosting community dinners.
📌The Police Department is organizing a Fill-a-Cruiser event to collect food for the food pantry.
📌Salvation Army will distribute food boxes as well as special Thanksgiving and Christmas food packages.
📌The YMCA will distribute grab-and-go meals on Tuesdays for the month of November 5:30am-8pm. Meals will be from Flight Deck and Wild Oats.
