Downtown Yellow Zone will have two different time frames to allow for parking during normal business hours on Monday.
During the height of the storm our primary roadways will be the priority as we spread out the crew to cover what has been forecasted as a very long duration event. Sidewalks will be addressed as soon as possible, but will likely take a couple of days after the storm to be fully cleared.
Public Works is declaring a townwide parking ban from 4:00 PM Sunday, January 25, 2026 until 7:00 AM Tuesday, January 27, 2026, to facilitate snow clean-up and removal. This parking ban includes the Recreation Center, and all public roads excluding the Downtown Yellow Zone.
The Parking Ban for the Downtown Yellow Zone, which includes all municipal lots in that Zone, will be in effect from 9:00 PM Sunday, January 25, 2026 until 7:00 AM Monday, January 26, 2026 AND AGAIN from 10:00 PM Monday, January 26, 2026 until 7:00 AM Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
Because plows will have a hard time keeping up with the rate of snow falling, we will likely have another overnight parking ban this week to facilitate cleanup of Maine Street, Station Avenue and other streets. Stay tuned for more on that. And stay safe.
